Born on April 1st, Debra Cole is an Atlanta based comic known for sophisticated and smart humor that’s presented with an authentic Southern Georgia twang. A former schoolteacher with a left-hook delivery, she confidently commands the stage with a unique spin on relationships, daily observations, life as a comic, public school, politics, bad customer service, and her new role as mother. She is the host of the Funny Fridays series at the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville. She has performed with the female group Mixed Nuts and on a local live talk show called The Bum Fodder Chronicles. She’s also performed for a number of events and charities including the Tennessee Democratic Party, Hotlanta Roundup 12 Step-Program Charity, Limmud Jewish Festival, Georgia Libertarian Party, Laugh Your Asheville Off Festival, as well as clubs such as the Laughing Skull Lounge, the Punchline, Buford Variety Theatre, and the Funny Farm. She also hosted and produced her own monthly show called Comedy Rocket at the Ansley Park Playhouse 2011. Having wide appeal, the men like Deb’s sassiness and the women like her style.
